The Screw Connection Manager is now available for all Alibre users.
with active maintenance- free of charge.

With the screw connection manager, you can insert entire screw connections with screws, washers and nuts with a few mouse clicks, specifying the clamping length or thread depth. The entire screw connection is automatically positioned in the correct position and reflected as a subassembly in the Design Explorer. We regularly extend the DIN and ISO standards and make them available here.

ISO standards Screw:

  Hex screws with shank (M1.6 - M30)

  Hex screws with thread up to the head (M1.6 - M30)

  Cylinder head screw with hexagon socket (M1.6 - M30)

  Cylinder head screw with hexagon socket and low head (M3 - M24)

  Hexagonal screws with fine thread up to the head (M8 - M30)

  Hex screws with shank and fine thread (M8 - M30)

  Washer with chamfer, normal row (M5 - M64)

  Flat washers with chamfer for HV screw connections (M5 - M64)

ISO standards Nuts:
• ISO 4032

FIRST START

Only the first time you start it, the note to the right is usually displayed.

This is normal since Windows 10.

Click on "More info" and then on the "Run anyway" button.
CREATE AND ADD YOUR OWN COMPONENTS

The DIN/ISO part library can be extended as follows:

To do this, load an existing DIN/ISO component in Alibre Design and save it under a new name. Keep the following notation:

Labeling;Mxy;ISO or DIN xy

The semicolons marked in red define the field separators in the file name. The metric specification (M1.6 - M56) must also be included.

Make appropriate changes and note that the following parameters (if available) must be present and are processed by the Screw Connection Manager:

Parameter:
b  = thread length
d  = thread diameter
k  = head height
l  = screw length
SW = wrench opening

With the disk as (sandwich object) there is a plane called "höhe". This must remain and correspond to the contained parameter "h".
("h" stands for the height of the disk.)
